DePaul University President Robert L. Manuel is all about connection: connection to students, faculty and staff; connection to the city of Chicago; connection to alumni and their communities. And for Manuel, connection starts with meeting people, which he is doing with vigor in his quest to broaden the impact of a DePaul education and make DePaul a national leader in educational excellence.
Through its people and programs, DePaul University has become widely known as a refuge and advocate for those in need. But current events have demanded more services and more compassion to provide for people in distress. And the university community has answered the call.
During the 2022–23 academic year, DePaul is commemorating 125 years of providing a transformative education steeped in Vincentian values. As part of that celebration, the university selected 125 representative faces — a sampling of the many faces that make DePaul what it is today.
DePaul news includes a new occupational therapy program, a grant for a civics initiative, “A Natural Turn” exhibit at the DePaul Art Museum, leaders in the College of Business, and STRC inaugural fellows.
