  1. Dear DePaul Magazine Editors,

In Vincent DePaul: The Trailblazer by Bernard Pujo, Pujo quotes V. DePaul as saying, “Those who lead houses of the community should not consider anyone as inferior, but rather as a brother. Thus, it is necessary to treat one’s confreres with humility, mildness, support and love.” p.189.

When you single out and limit yourself to only 14 graduates as “Alumni Making a Difference,” you fail to treat all of your confreres with humility, mildness, support and love. The success of DePaul lies in the collective good that individual DePaul graduates achieve in their community beyond their chosen profession, in accordance with Vincentian values. I am sure there are hundreds if not thousands of stories like this out there. That should be focus of DePaul Magazine.

    Respectfully,
    B.Morris
