Emmy Award for “Big Questions”

Patricia Werhane, executive producer, and Brenda Bowyer, producer and editor, attended the 2015 Chicago/Midwest Emmy Award ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 7.

The documentary series “Big Questions,” which was profiled in the winter 2014 issue of DePaul Magazine, recently won a 2015 Chicago/Midwest Emmy Award in the Outstanding Achievement in Public Affairs/Current Affairs Programming. “Big Questions” tackles such pressing issues as homelessness in Chicago, education in Haiti, criminal recidivism and for-profit philanthropy.

Faculty, students and alumni participate in the development of each show, and the series is produced through DePaul’s Institute for Business and Professional Ethics in the Driehaus College of BusinessPatricia Werhane, the show’s executive producer and the Wicklander professor emerita of business ethics, accepted the award during a ceremony on Nov. 7.
